Brenda Clarke is a wife, mother, grandmother and a maker. Learning to knit at 8 years old was the beginning of a life time of learning many skills.
Being basically self-taught in quilting, rug hooking, spinning, weaving, knitting and felting to list a few of her talents, lately, she has been focusing on the use of wool fibres to make 2 dimensional wool art with vibrant colours and maritime themes that look very much like water colour paintings.
For the past 17 years Brenda has worked at Deanne Fitzpatrick’s Studio helping to inspire and encourage many others to be creative and have fun with rug hooking and needle felting.
Brenda is the artist behind her newest endeavour, Wool’n Art where her art work is displayed and sold and workshops are held. It is a small vendor space, opened all year around, located at Maritime Mosaic, in the Dayles Grand Market, in Amherst Nova Scotia. Her work has also been displayed during Studio Artist events, fund raisers, various craft shows. Brendas work is available by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org and on facebook at Wool’n Art.
