Biography

After growing up in the Annapolis Valley, I married a military man and moved around the country/world with family, learning many arts and crafts along the way.

In the year 2000, after retirement we moved to the Amherst area and I have since become a member of the Cumberland Quilt Guild, as well as taking part in several quilt groups weekly. Last year I became involved with the Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival committee.

Several years ago, I learned “Wool Applique” form a friend at a workshop. I immediately fell in love with this “new to me” use for wool. Do I still quilt? Yes, I do. There are many ways to use wool applique including mixing it with cotton and linen fabrics.
