Diann is an accomplished fibre artist and Certified Oxford Instructor whohas had a life long journey along the fibre art trail. She enjoys working
with wool and felt and creating paper mâché sculptures. Creating with
paper mâché allows her to capture the many quirky and whimsical pictures
in her head and bring them to form. She was published in Art Doll Quarterly
in May 2016.
Although she still enjoys creating in paper mâché, designing and punching
rugs is a passion that allows her to create and express the myriad ideas
that fill her head. Her love for rug punching led to her becoming a
Certified Oxford Instructor.
Her earlier adult years were comprised of sharing her life with her husband,
raising two wonderful daughters and working with adults and children who
faced mental and physical challenges. She views herself as being a kind and
caring person who looks for the funny in life and the happy in others. Her
students often credit her with their accomplishments but she explains that
she simply helped them expand on their existing talent.
Diann lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her husband Michael and cat Tom.
Diann says the need to create and express her self through art is as
necessary for her as breathing and hopes to enjoy these passions for many
years to come.
