This class is best for a person with beginner weaving/fibre knowledge.  Card weaving, also known as tablet weaving is the oldest form of weaving known to mankind.  Card weaving creates a very sturdy strap that has many uses.  Dog leashes, camera straps, guitar straps are just a few of the items you can create with card weaving.  You can also sew your pieces together to create wallets, purses and more.  In this class your will learn about warp, weft and basic weaving structure.  This is an all-day class.  In the morning you will design your pattern and start to warp your loom.  In the afternoon you will begin to weave your strap and learn the finishing techniques required to complete your piece. Looms are provided for you to use during this class. All materials are provided for the class.

A detailed handout is provided for the participants.

If you would like to purchase a loom they are available for $125.00 and the instructor needs to know this Sept 10, 2018. A limited number of looms will be available for purchase after the class.
