This is a basic weaving class and is suitable for those who have never wove on a loom before.  An Inkle loom is used for this class.  An Inkle loom is used for weaving straps.  You can weave belts, bookmarks, shoelaces, decorative trim, anything you would need a narrow strap for.  You will learn about warp, weft and basic loom structure.  This will be an all-day class.  In the morning session of the class you will begin by designing your pattern and making heddles for your loom.  In the afternoon you will weave off your piece.  You will learn to join weft yarn if required.  You will also cut your piece off the loom and learn finishing techniques.  Looms are provided for you to use during this class.

  • All materials are provided for the class.
  • A detailed handout is provided for the participants.

If you would like to purchase a loom they are available for $125.00 and the instructor needs to know by Sept 10, 2018.   A limited number of looms will be available for purchase after the class.
