Details

A one-day course designed for those interested in pictorial quilts but
unsure where to begin. You will be guided through the processes of raw edge
applique, confetti, and quilt as you go techniques. Students should be
familiar with using a rotary cutter, ruler and mat, and have minimal
knowledge of free motion machine quilting. Students will stitch the scene
below from Prospect Bay.

Tracing Paper (available at your stationery store or Walmart, you must be
able to see your different fabric pattern through this paper, test on your
sleeve)
Scotch Tape
Ultra-Fine point black marker
Light or medium weight iron-on interfacing 12” x 18”l
Double sided Paper backed Fusible Webbing 17” X 20” (like steam a seam
or heat n bond)
Rotary cutter, Ruler & Mat (smaller one)
Machine Needles – 80/12 or 90/14
Sewing Machine with free motion capability and free motion foot
Extension cord
Basic Sewing kit – scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.
Roseanne’s Quilt Basting Glue - optional
Threads to match or enhance fabric
Blue rinse out marker – NO Frixion pens please!
Machingers - gloves to assist when machine quilting (optional)

Tulle – Fine – green, navy blue, or plum – 20” x 5”
Try not to choose any solid colour fabrics.  Tone on tone, or prints with
flecks of other colours add dimension to your piece.  Batiks can be
excellent.
