In this full day workshop we will be combining hand dyed silk and merino wool to create a one of a kind felted shawl! We will discuss designing techniques, considering the front and back of the piece, as well as good felting practices. Spend the morning laying out our project and the afternoon rockin' and rolling and fulling our felt! This fast paced course is best suited for those with some previous felting experience.

$35 Material fee for shawl materials
(Additional shawl kits will be available for purchase at a higher price)

Instructor Bio: Anna Mathis is an international award winner for her textile designs and has shown and sold her work in galleries across Canada. She teaches Textiles and Entrepreneurship at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design and travels to teach textile workshops around the Maritimes. You can find her at various fiber festivals including TWIST, in Quebec, the Maritime Spinners retreat, and the Nova Scotia Fiber Arts Festival. Anna is passionate about sharing her craft and selling fiber arts kits, tutorials and supplies as well as wearable art.
